Introduction:
Political Science and International Relations, as both a scientific discipline and an area of interest, have significantly expanded and become increasingly widespread. In today’s rapidly globalizing world, cultural, economic, and political conflicts among nations, social and interest groups, as well as cross-border issues such as poverty, migration, environmental challenges, communication, trade, sports, science, and education, have extended beyond the traditional boundaries of political science, economics, and history to encompass the broader concept of "international" relations.

The need for comprehensive and rational analysis of these transformations, shaped by globalization and technological advancements, has become critical. This is particularly important for our country, located in a geopolitically sensitive and strategically significant region, to develop a rational and effective foreign policy that moves beyond political, ideological, economic, religious, and ethnic debates.

The Department of Political Science and International Relations aims to provide students with accurate and up-to-date knowledge in the fields of political science, international relations, and foreign policy, equipping them to analyze and interpret global and regional events impacting Turkey through an analytical approach. At the graduate level, fostering a transparent and participatory educational process is essential for nurturing individuals with strong interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and open-mindedness—qualities that are vital in the fields of political science and international relations.
