The conference titled “The Visibility of Women in the Press and Public Life during the Second Constitutional Period”, organized jointly by the Departments of Political Science and International Relations and Public Administration of our faculty, was held under the moderation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rukiye Mehtap Özlü.

The keynote speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Tekinsoy, presented a comprehensive assessment of the Second Constitutional Period, emphasizing its critical significance in terms of social transformation. Her talk addressed a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from women’s representation in the press and their practices of participation in public life to the educational policies and legal reforms of the era.

The event was attended by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Yücel Erol, University Secretary-General and Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations Prof. Dr. Muhittin Demiray, Chair of the Department of Public Administration Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güven, faculty members, and a large number of students. At the conclusion of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Tekinsoy and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rukiye Mehtap Özlü were presented with certificates of appreciation by Prof. Dr. Muhittin Demiray.
