The Advisory Board Meeting of the Department of Political Science and International Relations was held on 07 May 2026.
In addition to the academic staff of the department, the meeting was attended by external stakeholder representatives, alumni representatives, and student representatives. During the meeting, evaluations and discussions were conducted regarding the department’s educational activities, students’ career development processes, internship opportunities, external stakeholder collaborations, alumni relations, and curriculum development processes. Furthermore, views were exchanged on enhancing students’ practice-oriented experiences and strengthening applied learning opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Gökhan ALMA, Director of Tokat Provincial Directorate of Migration Management; Mr. Bekir FINDIK, Director of Tokat İŞKUR; Prof. Dr. Kerem KILIÇER, Director of TOGÜ Career Application and Research Center; alumni representative Mr. Selçuk ÖZTÜRK; and student representative Ms. Elif Tuanna YILDIZ. In addition, faculty members and academic staff of the department shared various evaluations regarding the current status of the department and its future objectives.
Within the scope of the Advisory Board Meeting, issues related to potential areas of cooperation that may contribute to the institutional development of the department, activities aimed at supporting students’ professional development processes, and the strengthening of external stakeholder contributions were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, appreciation was extended to all external stakeholder representatives for their valuable contributions and participation, and it was emphasized that efforts to strengthen university–public sector–industry cooperation would continue in the forthcoming period.
